Yyyyeah, Jack's not a happy camper. Maybe he's defending his box? Who knows? This scene -never actually happens- in the story, because between the time he gets mauled to death by the monsters under the bed, and then gets revived with a pit viper heart and hoodoo magic and goes on a Foulthings killing spree of vengeful doom, they steal his box anyway and he never sees it again until the end of the book. Oh well, I still like the imagery. XD
